Dutch Chocolate

Ahh...the good old Dutch...

Holland, The Netherlands, whatever you want to call it - home to many famous attractions including windmills, wooden shoes, people on bikes everywhere, legal marijuana and prostitution, and, last but not least, - Dutch chocolate. Yes, Dutch chocolate is actually one of the most popular types of European chocolate, despite widespread misconceptions that only the Belgians and Swiss know how to do it right over there in Western Europe. Try some for yourself and you'll see exactly what we mean.

Oh, you'll see what we mean all right.

There is just something about the way that Dutch chocolate tastes that drives us wild. In fact, we here at Monkey Chocolate just finished a whole tin of Dutch chocolates that we bought over at chocolate.com. All we can say is wow! We're starting to think that maybe the Swiss should stick to making watches and let the Dutch take over with all the chocolate duties! (Ok, maybe not, but we really did like that Dutch chocolate!)

Chinese Chocolate.

How many times have you found yourself unable to shake a craving for Chinese chocolate? None? How about Algerian chocolate? No? What about Russian chocolate or Canadian chocolate? Still never? We didn't think so. That's because there are very few countries on this great big Earth of ours that create chocolate that can even come close to rivaling the smooth, rich satisfaction provided by Dutch chocolate. Of course Belgian chocolate comes close, but it's Belgium! The truth is that the Dutch produce some of the finest European chocolates .

Even as we speak, we are actually saving for a vacation to Holland. We will bike through the countryside, marvel at their strange language featuring multiple vowels in a row, see all the sites, visit the coffee shops, listen to some strange Dutch techno, spurn German chocolate and most importantly of all - pig out on some major Dutch chocolate, milky fresh from the actual source!
