	<title>Chocolate Chip Cookie</title>
	<description>
The chocolate chip cookie is perhaps the world's most favored cookie. Who doesn't like a good chocolate chip cookie?
Have you ever dreamed of the perfect chocolate chip cookie? Imagine a chocolate chip cookie with luscious chocolate chips riddled throughout the soft, golden cookie... Can you taste each individual chocolate chip as it melts and cascades over your twitching, salivating tongue!

Cookie Monster's Favorite? A Chocolate Chip Cookie, of Course!
The chocolate chip cookie has been the preeminent cookie since the very beginning of recorded history. I think they may have probably found the first chocolate chip cookie recipe way back in the fertile crescent. In fact, the famous 'Rosetta Stone' that has three different Semitic languages is actually a detailed translation of the very first chocolate chip cookie recipes! Okay, maybe that's not true. In fact, it's not. Ruth Wakefield actually invented chocolate chip cookies, we swear! Ruth's Toll House Cookie recipe is now the predominant chocolate chip cookie recipe, but lots of people have lots of different variations on this classic. Some add a tablespoon of vanilla, no matter how much vanilla a recipe calls for. Others add a shaved chocolate bar. Some prefer to add nuts, others don't. Some use two eggs, some use one. Some swear that real butter makes the cookies better than margarine, and others argue that melted butter is better than room-temperature butter.

And tastes vary too. Some people prefer their chocolate chip cookies to be crispy, some like them with crispy edges and soft middles, and some like them soft all the way around. And some just prefer the dough! Cookie Monster, however, will take it any way he can get it.
